In what areas do you provide service?

We provide service all over the North Shore, the Hills District and surrounds and have proudly done so for over 50 years. Do all your garage doors come with a warranty?

Yes, garage doors supplied and installed by Bax Doors are cover by warranty. Please see our individual products for more information.

Do you service or do repairs on garage doors?

Yes, we service and repair all makes and models of garage doors and motors and gate motors.

Do you offer a free measure and quote?

Yes, please make an appointment and our B&D To You van can bring the showroom to your driveway.

What are your business hours?

Office hours are 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Job hours are 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday Other times are subject to availability.

What payments do you accept?

We love prompt payments! You may pay by bank transfer, cash, check and bank card (a small surcharge may apply)

Can you reprogram my remote?

Yes, if you keep pressing your remote button and the door is not going up and down like it should, we can help. It may need a battery replacement or to be recoded to your motor. We can send instructions to you to come to you to make it work again.

Can you fit a motor to my old door?

Yes, we can retrofit motors to most existing garage doors.

Why should I service my door?

Servicing your door will increase its lifespan of the garage doors parts and motor.  A general service includes the re-tensioning of your spring system to prevent fatigue in the springs and reprogramming your drive unit in line with new parameters. We also check all fixing points, make mechanical adjustments and lubricate where necessary. It ensures that your garage door continues to give you trouble-free service.

What door is right for my home?

What motor is right for my door?

This will depend of what type of door you have; Sectional or Roller Door. Also if you want the added security of making your motor a Smart motor.

Why should I get a Smart Motor fitted?

Control-A-Door Smart offers you the added security and peace of mind knowing if access to your home is compromised. The app will tell you when your door is open, who opens it and when. It also allows you to give people access to your home when you are not there from anywhere you have data access. You can allow as many people as you want to access using the app on all suitable mobile devices.

 

What do I do in a power outage?

Internal access If you have internal access to your garage door simply pull on the RED DONGLE hanging down to disengage your motor and you may manually lift the garage door. To re-engage the motor simply pull the cord towards the motor until you hear a ‘click’ then when power has returns press the remote button to fully re-engage the motor.

No internal Access your door should have an EMERGENCY KEY LOCK fitted. This is a keyhole on the front of your door, just insert the correct key into the lock and pull the cord which will pull the internal RED DONGLE and you should be able to lift the door. To re-engage the motor simply pull the cord towards the motor until you hear a ‘click’ then when power has returns press the remote button to fully re-engage the motor.
